Foldable Shelving System

The Fläpps Shelving Unit from Ambivalenz is a foldable wall shelf that, when closed, sits compactly and extremely flat against the wall and, when unfolded, becomes a multifunctional piece of furniture. Available in various lengths, heights, and colors—with one or more shelves—the Fläpps shelf is ready for any situation, allowing you to customize your living space with the shelves to suit your individual needs. The shelves are made of birch plywood with stainless steel hinges. They are hand-painted and available in various colors. A small felt loop makes it easy to fold down the shelf.

Various Sizes and Functions

The large shelves, measuring 80 x 40 cm and 80 x 80 cm, are available with two or three shelves and offer space for thick books, vases, coffee makers, and much more. An optional add-on is also available that transforms all shallow Fläpps wall shelves into a shoe rack with a clever design. All shelves can be combined with each other and with other pieces from the Fläpps series. Together, they can create a custom-designed wall unit that takes up no space when folded away and is a true space-saving marvel when unfolded. The entire Fläpps series is manufactured near Berlin.
