Designer Stainless Steel Cutlery

The “ Mami ” cutlery series, designed by Stefano Giovannoni for Alessi , is the continuation of a success story: The “ Mami ” series actually began with cookware, and its lineup has been constantly expanded due to its great success. Now, Alessi and Stefano Giovannoni have taken Mami to a new level and launched the “ Mami ” cutlery series. Giovannoni’s cutlery is a weighty undertaking with memorable predecessors, especially when one considers the “models” set by old masters such as Castiglioni and Sottsass. But with great dedication and talent, Giovannoni has proven that he knows how to approach the Olympus: For the master of playful “super and popular” design, the aspiration to take his place among the classic masters in the history of the “ Alessi ” takes concrete form with the “ Mami ” cutlery set, also crafted from stainless steel. All pieces of the cutlery set are made of 18/10 stainless steel, with the exception of the knife blades, which are made of AISI 420 steel.
