The Alessi Blow Up is a magazine rack whose inimitable design was created by brothers Humberto & amp; Fernando Campana. The Alessi Blow Up magazine rack, reminiscent of Mikado, is based on the idea of welding together hypothetical steel wire scraps to create various container shapes. What all the objects in the Blow Up collection have in common is the unmistakable signature style of the Brazilian Campana brothers. The seemingly random arrangement of the individual metal rods—reminiscent of a game of Mikado or explosions—results in a bowl, a plate, or a fruit basket. Also of interest is the lively geometric play of shadows that emerges in the “ Alessi ” magazine rack, depending on how the light falls. Humberto and Fernando Campana chose mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel as the material for the “ & ” “ Blow Up & ” objects.
