Sie stellte Möbel, Schmuck, Geschirr und Textilien aus Materialien wie Glasfaser, Flechtwerk und Schaumgummi her bevor es alle anderen machten und sie ist die Erfinderin des weltbekannten Möbeltextils „Hallingdal“ für den dänischen Hersteller Kvadrat. Für Fredericia schuf sie in den 90er Jahren eine Stuhlserie, die bis heute unerreicht bleibt. Stühle spielten für Ditzel eine große Rolle.
